rear shackles help.

im trying to remove my rear shackles from my jeep cherokee 97 most likly orignal stock shackle. the left side weld holding the nut broke free so its free spinning. i dropped the gas tank and cut a small hole so i can fit a socket but no socket will clear the other little hole inside the frame and i cant fit any socket on their. bin kicking my ass all day any help ideas would be mutch apprictiated

I might be wrong, but I think you can get to it by removing the bumper...

or was that the tow hitch bolts? maybe it was both
