94 xj will not turn off

I turn the ignition off and everything stays on. I have to stall the engine to stop it.
I can restart the engine like normal. Think someting in the column broke.
I need this fixed quick.

Could be the key/lock cylinder/remote road/ignition switch.

Also, sometimes the ASD relays get sticky.

Took it in to a steering column expert.
Turns out the rack that is moved by the key assembly is stripped.
100 bucks latter and she is good to go.
The key to diagnosis is to look and see if the small rod on top of the column is moving.
