Np242 issues??

Today I was playing in the snow and tried to pull up on a snow pile while in full time. I got stuck and noticed only the front was spinning. Once I got back onto flat ground, I gassed it in the snow and front and rear were spinning. I am guessing there is some sort of differental in there. Is every thing working properly?

yes in fulltime the 242 will act as a differential

Normal stuff. That's why they give you the Part-Time selection, for those exact situations that you're describing.

yep. no problems. front wheels had no traction so they got the power. exact same concept as an open diff in an axle
