New guy here with new wheels and a shock question

Hey guys, Just bought a 92 XJ with 150K off a grandma who baby'd it for the last many years for cheap! My name is Joe and I am in Long Beach

I immediately went and got her windows tinted :thumbup:



(dont worry about the mall crawl, this is my companys private lot)

I just picked these up today off CL, super stoked! 16" MOABS


I have a question about shocks. I am planing a 3.5 RE lift in the next two months but I need shocks now. Can I buy the extended ones for now and bolt them in while stock? Also, what are some good shocks? Something around OME (which I will most likely go with)

Go hit Kragen to get you by until the lift. you can get Stock Monroe HD's for about $15 each. The price actually varies by a dollar or two from front to rear but its about that. I know because I bought some not too long ago when I was first getting my XJ going.

Pick up some JK take offs. They will require BPE/ bar pins pressed in, but are good for decent lift.
