Wow is it nice to hear something other than the massive exhaust leak...

Knocked out the valve cover gasket while I was there since it was leaking badly,

Test fitting to make sure nothing major was off or anything,

All done,

Looks good, that was a huge "crack" you had going there. I would have sprayed it with some high temp paint first maybe before i put it in though. Some of the products even help lower under hood temps.

I also ordered from ineedparts. Redid the entire exhaust today, sounds good !

I also have a cracked exhaust manifold, but i have heard that aftermarket headers will have the same problem. Is this true?

Some are more prone than others. The solution is to make sure your engine and trans mounts are in good condition and the addition of a flex joint in your exhaust.

DieselSJ has it nailed.

Cut a section out of the downpipe where it crosses from left to right before the CAT, weld in the flex tube--removes the stress on the header.
