MJ rear flares to an XJ

I was told by someone that putting MJ rear fender flares on an XJ will provide more clearance, if this is true is there any sheetmetal trimming that lies ahead..

i'm doing this exact thing on my XJ. yes it does require trimming...a LOT of trimming...but its gonna look sooo slick :cool:
