Hi I need a little help here. I'm in the process of putting a Golen motor in a '90 xj and am debating on replacing the torque converer. I would like to upgrade, especially in lite of the info from the local Jeep dealer (re-man stock t.c. $1062.42 !!!)

does anyone know of a good aftermarket brand for the AW-4? Level ten only seems to cover the Grand Cherokee w/the Chrysler transmission.

I tried a search to see if this had been covered, so if this is a repeat, I apologise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have read on several occasions that level10 does do AW4 upgrades if you contact them - might want to try that.

What are you looking for in an upgrade anyway?

Strength, reliability, better all around build quality. The stock units seem very durable, but the new motor will have 1/2 again as much torque as stock.

that being said I DO NOT want a higher stall speed.
