I have some spare ZJ axles lying around, wanted to know if these would work in a pinch as a backup? My guess is no, but I really didnt examine them too well to see for sure. Thanks

I don't think it would work, considering that c-clip axles slip into the inner race of the axle bearings whereas non-clip axles have the tapered roller bearing cone pressed onto the shaft. Are you in need of non-clip D35 axle shafts? I have several pairs that I could schlepp to Moab for you if that'll help.

I was thinking about it in the event I should break one in Moab, even though I plan to take it easy.

Definitely not, Rich, but the right runs aren't hard to find.
