What do you guys recommend for cleaning the outside of the engine and what all do you have to cover to keep the water from interferring with the electronics. Think I might have a leak, but can't tell very easily right now.

If you can get your hands on a steam cleaner or have somebody steam clean it for you. This works really well> I work at a chevy stealership and thats what we use to clean trade ins. Ever looked under the hood of a used car at a dealership.....SPOTLESS! if you do this or have it done you can use regular tire wet to shine up your hoses and other plastic and rubber elements under the hood. As far as I know just about every dealership has a steam cleaner......good luck
