JK shocks in an XJ--Part 2

Thanks for the responses to all that chimed in on my last thread. I tried to make the BPE out of the brackets from the rear sway bar, but it wasn't working, so I am going to just buy one on-line.

My next question is about the top of the front shock.

The stock XJ shocks have a shaft about 2 3/4" long...half threaded, half not, all the same diameter.

The JK shocks have a shaft about 3 1/2 inches long...1 1/2 inches threaded, 2 inches not, but the un-threaded portion is at a diameter of 3/4 inches. the threaded part will take a 1/2 inch nut.

So...what are y'all using as bushing spacers to make up that extra 3/4 inches on the shaft length, and something to accomodate that extra large diameter.

I searched the local pick and pull Friday for a vehicle that would have something that would work and came up empty.

The shocks I got came with pancake bushings and they work
