Will they fit on a 97 Xj Went to the J/Y and could not find Them for the Xj they look close But may be a little shorter. If any one knows if they will fit please let me know

Not sure if they will fit, but i have the stock set from my 98 XJ if you are interested.
might be a little pricey to ship though.

the problem with grand cherokee roof rails is the curvature. xj's have a relatively flat roof, where as zj's have more curve.
the rails should work, but you will have to bend them straight.
you might also possibly have to drill some new holes in the rails to match the nutserts in your roof.

i have zj rails on my jeep and there is more of a curve as the post above states. i did have to drill new holes in the zj rail but the are very close the the xj holes. once there one you can really tell the curve distance.
