Hi men, have 95 cherokee, small piezo mounted above brake pedal, used to do its thing when you turned ignition but then went off continuously one day, after disconecting all is well, everything operating normal, any suggestions, john down under

It's just a warning buzzer.

It's there to remind you to:

Buckle your seat belt
Turn off your headlights, and
Take the ignition key with you when you leave.


Most people find it to be bloody annoying, unplug it, and throw it away.

Thnx for that, have another strange micro switch 3-4mm dia ? red, appears to be factory fitted ie in a loom, have tried it a few times but nothing happened, any suggestions, thnx, john down under

Could it be for keyless entry?

My Subaru had a button that you held down along with the keyfob to program it.

Hi Wagonman, pizeo is mounted approx 300mm above brake pedal, unit is approx 20mm sq. need to be contortionist to locate, unfortunately dont have digital camera, thnx for your response, John
