Coming from an 99 XJ I owned in college with a 3inch with 31's (already installed when bought) ive been dying to get back into one. I found a really good clean 01 with 65k on it for 6k and talked him down to 5k. I get it in my hands on friday. Now here comes the questions

looking on this board for a bit im most likely going to do the Rubicon Express 3.5 super ride with new leafs. I want a mix of good road use/offroad as it will be my daily driver. What wheels/tires would you guys recommend for a similar on/off road purpose? Also what are the best websites to order off of, who has good rep on here etc.........

thats the only picture i have of it as of now but its in excellent shape

I like BFG KM2s Goodyear MTRs for street and light to medium offroad use. As for wheels cant go wrong with steelies but aluminum are lighter and better on gas.
Some good websites are http://www.quadratec.com/ http://www.4wd.com/ http://www.4wheelparts.com/
There are quite a few that have a good rep IMO.

Just search here you will find a ton of info on this stuff.

BTW nice looking XJ.

thanks man, also, i remember with my 99 that the transfer case was dropped and the axle was extended to adjust for the lift, is that needed with the rubicon express kit?

The kit should come with a T case drop which will work also a shim under the rear leafs can help but those are sold separate. It all kinda depends I would do the T case drop and wait and see how it drives then if you need to do anything else you can. You can always look into a SYE down the road too.

thanks for the info :)
