Reiter Trails Noob run. (Nov 5th)

KarlVP

NAXJA Forum User
I will be taking a group through sac-up on November 5th.

We are meeting at the main parking area at Reiter trails at 9:30AM.

This event is not NAXJA specific, this is open to anyone. Please come if you want to learn about wheeling, want to educate, or just want to wheel and have fun. Also, please be patient, I plan on this one trail taking the better part of the day.

Don't come if you are impatient and don't want to wait for anyone. Do come if you want to have fun. And I promise Vehicles in all classes will have thier limits pushed.

Any questions, reply here or PM.

Look forward to seeing you all on the trail.

I might be up for this one... I broke last time I was there.

See how the repairs progress. Driveline is off and Tom Woods says it's hosed...

I have exhaust to replace too. :)

Keep following HWY 2 East, until about mile marker 30. Take a left, thier should be signs pointing the way. When the road take a sharp left that you turn onto, keep going straight, trees on both sides. There will be a big open staging area on your left. Better directions avaliable though. :D

Sounds like my last Reiter report. Broke: Bent the tie rod (still bent)

Replace Exhaust: Cut mine off so I could get to some hard to reach spots when I was adding the rear skid. It wasn't even a year old, didn't like the bends, gonna order an aftermarket unit.

Moral to the story, I'll be there, it's been a while.

So if Isabelle is a 6 out of 10 what is Sac up? Also, I found this goofy map but don't see any of the spoken trails. I know I saw a bunch of beefed truggies out there for the clean up. I wanna see which trails those guys were running.

I think I liked reiter but my poor truck with it's 3.42 gears and 35" tires don't haul the jeep very well up hills. I can only imagine dragging it for 2 hours.

Sac - up is a 3 to 4 out of 10. Maybe even a 2 if you take all the bypasses.

The guys in the truggies were running trails such as Trail Of Doom, The Bonus Line, and Beat Your Shit (or "BYS" as we call it) You are more than welcome to show up the same day, and I can arrange an escort for those trails. Bring your winch or you can't play out there. 35" or bigger tires are also highly reccomended.

That map you found is from the Trials bikes. It is all motorcycle trails.

As for towing your Jeep from Sumner. Just think, it's all downhill from Reter to Sumner. ;)

Ya, most all the really hard stuff on sac-up has by passes around it. Though half the fun on a run like this is to stop and watch everyone try the harder lines. Half of those who try probably wont make it. But it sure is fun to watch them try.

UPDATE: because I have to, due to the powers that be. A simple request, IMHO

Required Equipment: Seat Belts for all passengers, roll cage or hard top, Front Tow Hooks, sunny dispositions. ;)

Reccomended Equipment: Fire Extinguisher, Front and Rear tow hooks, recovery strap (no metal hooks on the ends), first aid kit.
