Carrier issue, Chysler 8,25 axle

I suppose I need to replace my carrier in the rear axle when spider gear axle has some travel in the carrier sideways.(bolt is tight, axle is new)

It is a open carrier

Doesn't really sound like there is a question in there, you just made a statement.

I don't really understand the issue. Is the axel moving side to side, this is a good thing? Or Is the carrier pin the the floating spiders ride moving side to side? If its the pin, then either it is the wrong pin or the spiders are bad, can't imagine how the carrier itself would be bad.

Ok, appologies for not beeing accuarate:

Qestion: Schould there be some travel in the carrier for the pin holding the spider gears? The travel that I can recognize is some side ways where the pin/bolt enters in the carrier(oposite end where the lock pin is located))

The spider gears and the bolt + lock screw is new.

Hope you understand, I'm not to god in terms for this items/descriptions
