D-300 driveshaft

I have a aw4 and 231 right now and also have a d300 sitting in my garage that I want to put in. I am wondering if any one knows how much a front shaft needs to be lengthened to work in the rear. thanks for any help.
 
Step 1. Drink a beer.

Step 2. Measure overall length of 300.

Step 3. Drink a beer.

Step 4. Measure the overall length of 231.

Step 5. Drink a beer.

Step 6. Figure out how much farther forward the yoke of the 300 will be.

Step 7. Drink a beer.

Step 8. Measure from the 'new' yoke location to the pinion yoke.

Step 9. Drink a beer.

Ballpark. Done. Beer.
