Probably already been asked but here goes

I have a 92 xj with 35's 8.8 in rear stock 30 in front
mostly trail truck but I drive it to the trails, rear is welded
What type of gears do you think I should run trying to decide 4:10 or 4:88

Thanks in advance:kissyou:

With the choices being 4.10 or 4.88.... 4.88
Really, I would go with 4.56s. A good Gear Set for a DD and Weekend Offroader IMHO for 35s. 4.88, the Pinion Shaft is a bit too small for my liking. 4.10 comes Stock in a F8.8 and could save you Money, however, the XJ with 35s would seem a bit Powerless IMHO.

Gotta agree with cher96 here...4.56s are the way to go
4.10s are too high and 4.88s are a bit too low.

is it fairly hilly where you are at. it looks like canada so im guessing there are plenty of hills. having said that i would go 4.88s b/c of the hills.

Having 33's with 4:56's I would suggest 4:88 for 35's. I sorta wish I had done 4:88's with my 33's but I didn't because of the strength of the pinion on 4:88's. I have heard people say there's no strength difference and some say there is so :dunno:
