Exhaust removal?

Im putting a new 4.0 in my XJ right now and the exhaust pipe is getting in the way of putting the new engine in. Its right where the exhaust starts below the exhaust manifold. How can I lower this down?

Get a jack under the tranny, loosen but do not remove the driver's side bolts on the crossmember, and remove the bolts on the right side, lower the box, and you should be able just to get the pipe out the side.

Exhaust removal?
