4.0l out of 1994 XJ into 1997???

I have a 1997 xj that is not running so I wanted to put the rebuilt 4.0l out of my 1994 XJ into it. I know in the head on the 1994 there is a temp sensor I would have to plug. Other than this, is it a direct swap to take the engine out of the 1994 and bolt it into the 1997 or are there changes between the year models that will make it a hassel?

Didn't the computer system change from OBD1 to OBDII? Probably need to change the other sensors too.

Yeah it changed from obdI to obdII so thats where i wasn't sure whether that changed anything in the block or head. I know there were a couple small changes like a stronger block and slightly different head but whether that was enough to make them not work with one another ecu's or not i am not sure. you'd think you could use the block/ head from the 1994 with the intake and suck off of the 1997.
