Title asks the question.
I burned out the one from the 89 so I relocated the alt to the AC mount (with some cutting and grinding). I had an alternator from a 98. After wiring the alt from the 98 it will not charge. I am told the regulator is built in on the 89 and part of the computer on the 98. My solution is to just throw a single wire from summit on it and call it done. The cost is about the same even after shipping.
I welcome any other ideas to make the 98 alt work also.
