Replacing np242 tc shift pads - how hard is it in the Jeep?

Any directions or special tools needed?

Can I slide the forks over and dlip in the pads?

I have replaced the chain before, I know it needs pads.

I've done it with the t-case on a bench, it's a bit of a PITA to slide the shift lever to just the right angle to pry the shift rail out to get to the other fork. I suppose you can just go for it and if it's not working, pull the t-case out and finish it on the bench.

Replacing the pads are easy, just a little more work than changing the chain.

A guy on utube has a video series for rebuilding a Dodge Dakota TC.

Got all 6 pads for $10 shipped Morris 4x4.
