Yes,leave the air bag system alone.If you wheel fast enough to deploy the air bag,you will need the protection.

Been wheeling with airbags since 1999. In all those years I have been with two different clubs in two states, I have never had nor heard of an air bag accidentally deploying.
I have had a couple of hard hits, but the bags did not deploy, so do not worry about it. Like Wayne states, leave the fuses in and the system alone. If they deploy you will be glad because you probably needed them.
