So I am stumped, My steering wheel lock does not appear to be working, IDK if that has anything to do with my issue. My main issue is that my key will not turn backwards to the AUX mode (stereo on), but it will start the jeep and turn off the power. I remove the cylinder and it seems like it is working easily and fully turning. Could it still be the cylinder? Something else to look for? I dont really want to take my whole steering column apart if I do not have to.

My '87 is one click forward. Don't recall how it is on my '01. Out of town so I can't verify the '01.
I know it 100% had ACC mode but now it quit working.

Have you tried lubrating the cylinder? I would guess that you have. OTOH, I'm pretty good at missing the obvious.
