TPS shorted?

In the process of troubleshooting a "no start, I had removed and reinstalled the TPS. The "no start" issue was a dirty C101. Anyhow, when I was attempting to measure the TPS voltage, with safety pins to backprobe, i think i shorted the TPS or computer? The motor definitely doesn't start now. Is there a way to confirm i shorted the computer, or TPS? Thanks in advance.. I have an 88 XJ 4.0.

Pin A on the TPS is the 5V supply from the ECU. Disconnect the TPS. Key on. Use a VM to check for 5V at pin A and B on the engine side. If nothing, perhaps you blew a fuse. You don't need the engine running to adjust the TPS.
