Hydro Assist Question

I just finished up my hydro assist so I can report what worked for me. I used a stock box drilled and tapped myself, stock pump with the PSC under drive pulley, surplus center ram. I bought a shorter belt (Gates p/n K060935HD). Two runs on it and zero complaints. Day and night difference in the rocks with the front locked. I don't DD it, so I can't report on that aspect.

So with a stock box, no other modifications are needed other than the drill and tap?

I made no modifications to my stock box other than drilling and tapping. Make sure you THOROUGHLY clean out the metal shavings from doing so....it seems like they got everywhere!
I used the 6x1.5 swivel eye ram and it is perfect for my D30.
And in regards to your initial question, I also re-used the factory mopar trans cooler for my steering. As long as it's clean, I see no issue with it.

on a 44, you'll most likely want a 8" ram
