Easy mud flaps

After getting a few officers politely telling me that mudflaps would be a good idea for my Jeep I decided to make some removable ones. This is what I came up with in about a hour, it's not the prettiest and I will probably change it at some point but I had a old dump truck mudflap that I cut up for this.

Without flaps, most of the tire is exposed:

I decided to mount the flaps on top of the shackle relocation brackets that I have from http://www.hdoffroadengineering.com/

Bit of angle iron I had leftover from a old project:

Mocking the flap before I cut it up:

For a hour or so of work I am happy with these, they remove with one bolt and nut so it shouldn't be a problem ripping these for the trail.

Not pretty, but if it makes the local law enforcement happy, so be it.

Nice. I like mud flaps more and more, and I've been thinking about making removable ones for a while now.

Are those the HD offroad shackle relocation brackets?
