i would think some sort of valve would work. on the imports we use one for cold air intakes. if we submerge the intake, it will stop sucking in from the filter, and goto the valve.

i'm pretty sure that's a "pre-filter" for heavy equipment. (dozers, tractors etc.) i've been searching for a while to source one for a decent price. seems like Donaldson makes a few of them. i think i'll give the local john deere and cat dealers a call this weekend and see if they have anything kicking around... most of these types are pretty large but there are a few that might be small enough to look half decent. it's a project i've had kicking around the back of my brain for a couple years now.

muddeprived did this as well. been thinking about something similar to it. better then spending $500 on an arb and having it ripped off on the trail.


...i do like the arb safari snorkel still, just saying.

It's an AEV Pre filter.
