I'm thinking of visiting Durango late September! I attended school at Ft. Lewis back in the 80's on a football scholarship! My coach was Barnett before he moved on! My son recently released from the Coast guard is considering attending there as well and wants to check out the town and campus. We will be there for about 4 days, so if anyone can give me some suggestions on accommodations or has an available cabin or unit let me know! I'm assume the Strater Hotel and the Silver Slipper Saloon are still there. We will want to get some fishing in too so any hot spots would be appreciated! I use to hit Vallecito, the hatchery down town by the trestle bridge! Any comments would be appreciated!
