“I saw two dudes basically get into an altercation and the dude that shot, he basically got angry and started shooting the other guy,” said Brittany Mobley. “He had it [the gun] hidden in his clothes or whatever and then after that, he pulled it out and started shooting the other guy and accidentally shot another dude.”
Officials have identified the suspected gunman in Tuesday’s shooting on the Lone Star College campus in north Harris County.
He is 22-year-old Carlton Berry. He's in jail after being treated at Northwest Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
The shooting happened during an argument between Berry and a Lone Star College student.
Both men ended up with gunshot wounds, and Berry shot a maintenance man who was an innocent bystander, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
A law enforcement source said Berry shot the man he was arguing with, then accidentally shot himself in the buttocks when he tried to put his gun in his pants. Berry is charged with aggravated assault but remains hospitalized with wounds suffered in the shooting.
Richard Carpenter, chancellor of the Lone Star College System, said the campus is a gun-free zone that "has been safe for 40 years."
I wouldn't describe this as a "school shooting"......more like two idiots who allowed an altercation escalate to a gun fight.....and the guy that fired first proceeded to accidentally shoot a maintenance worker and then shot himself in the butt while trying to put his gun away. NOTE: Lone Star College is a Gun-Free Zone
Wonder if these guns were purchased legally? The National press has been pretty hush on this incident, because it doesn't promote their anti-gun agenda.
