Hello all,

I have an ABS equipped 1998 XJ that has had the ABS fuse, sensors and relay removed for three years now.

I just re-did the brakes with a WJ conversion and I'd like to remove the ABS pump as it makes bleeding tougher and I suspect adds a bit of "spongyness" to the pedal feel.

Does anyone have any insight on pulling this?

What lines need to be deleted and what lines need to be connected?

Anyone ever do this - was it worth it?

Thanks!

I went to pick-n-pull a few weeks backs and tried to grab the front hard lines but the nuts were rounded off. Even a flare wrench wouldn't grab them...

I'll keep an eye out for new arrivals at the parts yard - nothing there at the moment.

I was hoping there was a way to just extend the line to the MC but new hard lines are obviously the right way to do the job.
