We made history today in Illinois.

Illinois will become the last state to adopt some form of carry law, and ours aint all that bad.

HB2193 was just voted on an hour ago with 85 yes and 30 no votes.

this is a veto-proof vote, so it's only a matter of time before it's official.

It'll probably take 180 days to implememnt the system, and probably about 330 days before the first permits are issued to illinois patriots.

going home to have a beer!

Ours isn't bad either. In AZ you can concealed carry or open carry at your discretion, or get a license so you can carry out of state(reciprocity in many states requires some kind of issued license)

Congrats to the people who pushed this. Literally a decades long task completed. Good to see(but surprising) that enough of the Illinois legislature listened to their constituents(finally). Too bad the governor will veto it and they'll have to pass it again for it to become law.

Why would it take almost a year to issue a permit?

They didn't listen to constituents

We sued the state and the 7th court ruled the ban unconstitutional

The attorney general wants to run for governor, so she couldn't afford to lose a scotus decision

We didn't get the bill we wanted

We got a bill filled with gun free zones high fees and ridiculous training hours

But it's something, and we'll keep on fighting

Oh yeah,.. forgot about that ruling.

So they don't want to enact it but have no choice. Good for them.

Well, now, just like in Florida, the naysayers can sit back, watch the carnage and gloat about how it's turned into the wild west. Why, in Fl, it took only 10 days for someone to commit a felony with a legally carried gun. Oops! did I say days? I meant years, ten years.

Anyway, congrats on the win. 'Hope it's not a total bust.

Nice! Glad to hear. Hope they share reciprocity with Indiana.
