Loose and leaking trans line fitting

Cut the metal line right before the rubber/metal crimp with a small tubing cutter. Cut off the crimped section from the rubber line. Flare the end of metal line and use a fuel injection clamp, 14-16mm. No need to buy hose unless the hose is damaged, dry rotted, etc... I really like the fuel...

98 XJ downstream 02 sensor wiring question

It's 99.5 and lower.... It doesn't have any other mid year changes. Production date is 3/99. You probably have a non-OEM O2 sensor and one that is not a direct fit bosch type, which is what I have. The 99 FSM vehicle side connector colors match your 98 and my 99. There should be a slightly...

    AW4 + ATF+4 = no good??

Yeah, I know that, duh! I was saying that since Chrysler can't make a tranny that lasts like the AW4, then why would I use a fluid THEY make/spec?

    AW4 + ATF+4 = no good??

Seeing that Chryco trannys are complete garbage, why would I trust them with fluid? The smoother the shifting= slipping= the more wear you put on the clutch bands = the faster your tranny will wear out. I would just do a drain and fill every year with DexIII/IV/V/VI or whatever # they are on...

Seized/stuck tie rod (alignment after lift)

Yeah, a big pipe wrench and stand on it. Some bouncing action might be required also- just make sure you don't land on anything sharp when you fall after it breaks loose.

    31" on 4.56

Has nothing to do with the weight of the tire/wheel, but the acceleration of mass. It takes more energy to accelerate a larger mass to certain speed than is does a small mass. Liner or centripetal. BUT, with a larger mass, the object takes more force to stop, also meaning that it take a longer...

    E-Fan not coming on ? ?

Does it come on when the A/C is on? If no then check the relay and maxi fuse (distribution block). If it still doesn't work, hook up 12v to the plug with a jumper from the battery to check the fan motor. If it does come on with the A/C, then it's probably the coolant temp. sensor.
