I have a Diode type battery isolator (Sure Power ind. 160a) with one input and two outputs. From the bits and pieces I've read this type of isolator drops about .6 to 1v through the diodes due to it's design.
I have a 90 Renix which originally had the Delco CS-130 105a unit w/ internal...
Was underneath a 98 ZJ today when I noticed that the lower control arms looked very simililar to the XJ's...except they have an eccentric bolt that allows for caster adustment.
Has anyone used OEM ZJ LCA's on an XJ before?
Got my hands on a 136a alternator and external voltage regulator from an unknown vehicle. The voltage regulator has four terminals on it labeled " I A S F" respectively. Does anyone know what these terminals do? Also on the H.O. alternator there are two terminals that are unmarked, what do...
The stock coolant temperature gauge has a range of 100-260, as many are aware. I want to install a second coolant gauge sending unit in the oil pan with a SPDT switch to flip between the two sending units. This in theory, will provide me with an oil temp readout w/o adding an additional gauge...
I did some tests with a vacuum gauge on my 97 engine with the 99 intake manifold. It pulls down 14"inHg at idle (700rpm) and the maximum amount of vacuum it will make is 22" upon deceleration at any rpm. Does this sound normal for the newer 97 cam and 99 intake manifold?
I have a 90 4l and I noticed the ballast resistor on the fender. My question is under WOT does the PCM allow the fuel pump full battery voltage? If not, are there any drawbacks to directly wiring the pump to the battery?
I'm in the process of tearing down my 90 I6 and I need some opinions on these pix...
What you are looking at is the #3 exhaust port to the left. To the right is the #4 exhaust port and intake port. Note the white exhaust valve and brownish looking port. What is up with this?
As far...
So I was at the yard today and spotted a 96 xj. I nabbed what appears to be the rear wiper delay relay from its hatch. My 90 Renix doesn't have a rear wiper delay, just continuous mode. Anyways I was wondering if someone knew the wiring that goes into it. The pins/colors are as follows...
I'm looking to replace the following on my 90 XJ I6;
1.Air charge sensor
2.Aux fan sensor
3.Temp sender for the gauge
4.Coolant temp sender in the block
Does anyone know or have part numbers for the aforementioned? TIA, Adam.
Newb question...did search but nothing specific. Have a 8.25 4.10's/open but it has no brakes/hardware/drums. The parts house lists two different size brakes?? I measured the backing plate and was approx. 9.5" in diameter. Can anyone tell me what size shoes/drums I should be getting? TIA...
What's up fellas?
I'm looking to swap in a 91-95 AW4 into my 90 Renix. I do know about the spline change so I'll need the donor trans' respective T-case. My questions are will I need to reuse my CPS and NSS?
Does the TCU harness plug & play?
Are there any known TCU changes throughout...
Not having had the pleasure of holding a 96+ stud girdle...Can it be fitted to my Renix block w/o major machining? Sorry for the newb question.:jester:
