    Ordered a new long block for my 95. Prior to installing it and or running it, do I need to stress using break in oil, or any other special procedures?

    #14 head bolt

    What are y'alls suggestions for getting that bolt torqued to spec? None of my tools for there save my box end wrenches. The bolt I'm putting in is a 12 point 1/2 inch. I could use a gear wrench attached to my torque wrench but I'm concerned about breaking the gear wrench

    Cooling ports

    Something funny here. 87 XJ 4.0. Doing a head gasket. Head has the cooling ports. Block doesn't. So before I do something stupid and either drill them out or reassemble with opening the ports, I need some input. Did the 87 renix engine come without the ports that match my head?

    was just snooping under my 95 XJ. discovered it still has the Chryler 8.25 rear and Dana 30 front. So obviously this need to change. Which axles would bolt up relatively easy?

    Original 95 XJ sport package specs

    Morning. Recently bought a 95 XJ sport. Been trying to find out what options came in the sport package of that year. Trying to get the baseline info before I start building it. I've been able to identify the rear axle as an. 8.25 and an NP231 t-case.
