The woman living with me is having a weird serious coolant leak.... it started overheating and leaking real bad the other night pretty late, so i climb out of bed and under her car and it looked like the lower radiator hose.... so i replace that last night for her, and as i get to the second...
thats crazy, glad everything worked out ok in the end..... im shocked the tow strap recoiled like that, i would have given the guy a good beating just out of frustration.
Just a thought.... but with the problem im having, could it be the speed of the outside air and the speed of the air coming to the AC blower are too similar...... kind of like driving 35mph with a 35 mph tailwind and sticking your hand out the window and not feeling the wind?
i have a similar problem.... my blower stops blowing if i am doing around 80 on the freeway with my AC on..... as soon as i slow down alittle it starts blowing again.... you can hear it running, it just stops blowing.....its not coming out anywhere, its wierd
you can check the window channel (the groove the glass slides up and down in, in the door) also take a look at the regulator, its a big half sprocket looking thing.....
first before you take the door panel off, try spraying silicon spray in the window cannel if theres nothing blocking it. if...
i have tyhe same kind of thing..... i have pretty much disregarded it as a heat shield rattling..... meaning: everything still works so i am too lazy to look
go and buy some cold knives.... its not very easy to do with out breaking the glass, a local glass shop could do it for you fairly quickly and pretty inexpensive..... but then you wont have a window there permanatly...... think it through
minenever had it.... i've taken it off every car ive had that did come with it..... it sucks to overheat or something like that and the insulation absorbs all the water and shit..... but its your choice, you wont run into problems either way really
