    I apologize for bump...just my two cents. You can drill holes in your roof if you don't want to spend the 100$ I don't think you can use the flood and spot beams separately. Wiring switches are simple a quick search on youtube should explain it. Also, do yourself a favor and run a quick bead...

    OBD1 Scanner

    The nice scanners are pricey. Reason you need one for OBD1 is that while the ports are standard (mostly) the pinouts and codes are not. Have to have a database which houses the mess of different setups and that is why those nice scanners capable of doing both OBD1 and OBD2 are so darn pricey...
