I've got the JCR Vanguard rear bumper (mounted to Circle S brackets) and Adventure Tire Carrier. My unibody is also reinforced by the JCR stiffeners and unibody kits from stem to stern

I might have a chance to do a move to Australia next year and take my '99 XJ with me.
What sort of parts or conversions might I need to do to the lighting to ensure I'm compliant with road rules in Oz?
Thanks!
I just put in a PSC steering box. Much better than the failing OEM one it replaced. I'll get around to upgrading the pump and adding cylinder assist at some point.
89XJClay,
You'll also want to inspect the wiring harness that goes from the vehicle to the driver's door. Almost all of the window and door controls route through that wiring harness and the wires become brittle and break over the years.
old_man,
Where'd you source your stroker? I've been eyeing the Golen 4.6l motor.

Any feedback on what "extras" and accessories I can figure on budgeting for when I do the swap? I just put in brand new...
@Jeepguy91, thanks for posting this thread!
I have a leaking rear freeze plug and an engine that can't seem to get much better than 12-13mpg no matter what I try (new exhaust, regeared to match my 31" tires, etc).
I'm thinking about dropping in a 4.6l stroker, but I'm concerned about how many...
I bought the AA w/ Tom Woods driveshaft from Rusty's three years ago. It's great so far.

The tune-up parts could use a refresh. I just had the correctly calculated speedo gear installed. I drive conservatively about 80%-90% of the time. I don't have any diagnostic gear.
What kind of prices am I looking at for head, valve, and freeze plug work on top of the easily replaceable bits?
So, my '99 XJ (4.0 with NP242) has reached it nearly final state (waiting on rock sliders from JCR), to include regearing. I'm getting less than 13mpg.
I'm running BFG AT 31x10.50 tires with 4" of lift, SYE, and regeared to 4.10 plus various armor and upgrades.
The only engine problems that...
I can't help you with your issue, but I'd like to know more about your experience. I just picked up my '99 XJ with a new Genright tank a little over a week ago.
How is your fuel gauge functioning? I still haven't figured out at what point it starts dropping from F and it seems like I still...
Maybe. We'll see what Mount Zion says.
They are true pros and I trust them to figure it out. Check out some of their builds.
