    Dana 30 crush spacer

I'm about to reassemble an '84 XJ Dana 30, which was originally built with preload shims. Can I use the more usual crush spacer instead? Most of the other 30s I've built have this and I can't see any other difference.

    Wanted MPH speedometer for '88XJ

My friend in the UK needs an MPH speedometer to fit his '88 Canadian XJ. It's a Renix 4.0 with Laredo package. The speedo is cable drive with trip meter. The one from the '84 2.5 I'm parting out doesn't fit. Either the speedometer on it's own or a complete cluster to fit an '88 would do. His...

    '84 4wd front hub bearings.

I have a '91 XJ with the usual sealed hub bearing assemblies. I will need to replace them soon, but also have a pair of the early rebuildable ones out of an '84. Is it worth repairing these instead and fitting them to the '91 or are they not as durable as the later ones? I think will have to use...

    Part number check please.

I have 2 brand new locking fuel caps which don't fit any of my Jeeps. It's Mopar part # 05278655AA. Can anyone tell me what they're for? May as well Ebay them if I can identify them correctly. TIA, M.

    Diff shaft diameter?

Can anyone tell me if the shaft in the Dana 35 open differential is a different diameter on later axles. I have an '84 axle and the shaft is 0.685". I'm asking because I have a problem installing a Quick Lock at the moment where the thing loses drive to both wheels at once. On inspection it...

    Anyone tried dual alternators?

I have a '91 4.0 HO with no a/c and was thinking of fitting my spare alternator in place of the idler that sits in on the compressor bracket. There are 3 reasons for this. Firstly, Wheelin' in the UK often involves wading in deep water and mud and the stock alternator doesn't like this as it's...

    AMC or Dana rearend?

Greeting from the UK. I have a rear axle from an '84 Cherokee 2.5 automatic. Can anyone tell me how to confirm if it is an AMC 35 or Dana 35? I suspect it is AMC as it has a rear cover with a ribbed rather than flat fixing flange around the outside, Torx headed screws hold the cover on and...

    TJ D44 into XJ

Has anyone fitted a TJ D44 rearend to an XJ? Is it the same width and are there any other problems apart from the obvious bracket surgery required?

'93 XJ dash surround for UK

Are any of you guys parting out a pre '97 XJ, and have the surround for the instruments/radio/heater controls. I need one for my LHD '93 as mine is broken around the radio hole. Of course we're RHD over here so used parts like this are hard to come by. Black or silver is fine, don't really want...

    Hi from the UK

Hi, guys. Just signed up on NAXJA and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm in Chelmsford, Essex which is not far from London, England. I have a '92 XJ 4.0 manual Sport 2 door which is very rare in the UK, as the XJ was only ever available in 4 door and the 4.0 only had auto transmission. It's A US...
