If I don't meet the minimums for lockers or properly geared 33's (running 3.55's at the moment) is it worth the effort of attending or am I better off waiting for next year?
I've got everything else listed under Sierra chapter minimums including the highly recommended stuff, just won't be...
I put in a new Speedometer gear O-ring but that didn't fix the leak. I ran into another problem and simply haven't had the time to keep looking for the leak during the holidays. I'll keep this thread updated though as I'll have more time in Jan.
That sucks. The good thing is his customer service has been outstanding. I will have a new injector here shortly.
Has anyone had issues with his headlight harness or electric fan override switch harness? I bought those as well but have yet to install them.
Yep. You were spot on. The first injector was stuck open. Fouled the spark plug too. Put my old injector in and a new spark plug and she's running smooth as ever.
I installed brand new injectors and I lubed them up prior to installing. I thought I was careful but I wouldn't bet my life that I didn't tear an o-ring. The leak isn't coming from the injector though, fuel is seeping out from the seam of the engine block and intake manifold. I'm going to try to...
So I recently installed new 4 hole injectors, a 62mm bored throttlebody and a K&N filter. After installing I reset my PCM prior to starting up the vehicle. First try at startup I got nothing so I primed the fuel pump a few times then tried again but all I got was a bunch of clicking. Turns out I...
Detent plug? I know you're not referring to the drain plugs but I don't recall there being any other plugs. The exploded assembly below shows a detent plug but doesn't clearly indicate its assembled location.
Also, is the "selector shaft" part of the shift linkage? Could you please use the...
The speedo gear o-ring was not the culprit. I'm not sure where the leak is coming from. Any other known leak points on an NP231 transfer case that I should/could investigate with out dropping the TC?
I figured it be nice to have a thread with all black friday deals listed. Please add a comment with whatever deals you find below.
JCR Offroad - $19.95 powdercoating for all parts ordered in November.
I have no idea where it's leaking from. There's oil kinda everywhere but particularly the seal on the tail cone and also near the speedometer gear. I plan on removing the TC, opening it up to reapply RTV between the 2 halves and replace all the seals since I'm not sure where it's leaking from.
I used to be able to turn the lights off by turning the ignition on then back off. That doesn't work anymore. The headlights will stay on and do not shut off.
I've had issues with my headlights lately. When my jeep is running I can turn my headlights off without issue but when I turn off the ignition my headlights turn on. If i turn the ignition on then my headlights turn off again. I've had to pull the negative terminal on my battery to get my jeep...
My Transfer Case has been leaking ever since I installed my Rough Trail SYE kit by Crown. My TC skidplate is covered in oil. My winter off-season is here so it's time to fix the leak. I was planning on removing my TC and replacing all the seals rather than try to chase down a leak. Can somebody...
Eventually I will install selectable lockers in the front and rear. To save myself a little coin I'm only going to install 1 selectable locker at the same time I re-gear and upgrade the axle shafts. I wouldn't install a lunchbox locker in the rear since I'm going to add a selectable locker in...
Good to know I've got the factory Trac-Lok but I've been driving it for the last 2k miles without friction modifier. At this point do I even add it in?
I'm going to re-gear, install chromoly shafts and add a selectable ARB locker this winter. I was planning on installing the locker in the rear...
Ok so I jacked up the jeep and turned the wheels by hand while in park and it responded like an open diff. I then turned the wheels while in Neutral and also in Drive and both responded like a Limited-Slip Diff. Which is correct?
