Hi Folks,
I no longer own my XJ and won’t be purchasing a membership to give these away. The first to send me a PM gets them. If a moderator wants to delete this post I can throw them in the trash. The joints are 15 years old but NIB. Free shipping anywhere in the US via small flat-rate.
I definitely want a gas setup. I already have a 10lb CO2 tank for airing up. I don't want a bigger welder to actually hold me back. I assume that isn't the case. I know this has been beaten to death. Shame on me for not searching. ;)
Hi Folks,
I have a wimpy HF 110v flux-core welder that I need to upgrade. I'm taking on a major project that will require a lot of sheet metal welding. I already wired my garage with a dedicated 230v receptacle. Should I go with a larger welder or will it be overkill for my application? I...
I tend to agree. You know I tried to pick one up but the dealer wasn't open on Sunday. Sadly, I was there the day before picking up an OEM t-stat, but I didn't know my waterpump was shot at the time. Even though the prices were the same ~$35, I went with a Napa unit over Autozone and O'Reily.
Turns out this was exactly my issue. Incidentally, my pump was replaced by a shop also, a vender on NAXJA. I'm going to chalk this one up to poor maintenance on the owner's part ;)
Bump - I'm pretty sure that my XJ is suffering the same fate.
My coolant was the color of chili. My radiator was fried and leaking. I replaced the radiator, and flushed the system, and my jeep is still quickly overheating. The upper radiator hose is to hot to hold, and the lower radiator hose...
As expected Batteries Plus didn't honor my warranty. I'm going to make their life hell until they reimburse me for the original purchase price. Out news has a bulldog named "Jesse Jones" that loves this stuff. Batteries start to die in the winter, so its good to.ing for a segment. I also have...

Sorry folks. 1999 4.0. No funky electronics. Fried the first one in a few months. That battery had post damage that may have extended to the plates inside (tapping terminal onto post). The second one lasted 8 months.
Good call on the temp sensor. I will verify.
Hey Guys,
It looks like my second AGM battery from Batteries Plus has failed. This battery is bulging on the sides, which can be a sign of excessive heat or overcharging. I have a 160a Durango alternator, which I fear may be contributing to the problem. I had my alternator checked and it's...
Got the XJ back. $500.96 for the repairs. My hatch opens now and my rear doors are aligned again. I still have a mild ripple above the rear fender arch, but It's almost invisible to the untrained eye.
Current Investment: $2,200
Next steps:
rear frame stiffeners ($105 + shipping + labor)
used...
I've had OME LD leafs for about 5 years. They have been holding strong. The passenger rear is sagging a bit so I'm going to rotate to the drivers side. I don't wheel that much but I tow quite frequently, and haul heavy stuff in the back routinely.
