    2005 Desert Splash Off-Road Tour...

To All, This is a very fun event with runs from mild to wild. You camp right "ON" the Colorado River with a grass area, picnic table, and overhead cover. 1/4 mile up the river is a floating bar that makes the best Bloody Marys around. The real cool thing is that all runs end at the "Desert Bar"...

    Overheating woes (good water pump?)

Check your fan clutch. Pull your radiator, have it rodded, replace your thermostat with a 185F, put on a 13-pound rad cap, replace with 50/50 mix distilled coolant. Good Luck...

    Fan Clutch Replacement

Someone can bone in here if I am wrong. When the engine is cold the fan should spin very easy on the fan clutch, as the engine warms up it should start stiffing up. Bring the car up to operating temperature, turn off the engine, do not stick anything in the fan while its on, not a good idea...

    No, Not Cooling Again...

Well I pulled the radiator and it was 75% plugged, had it rodded and tested, replaced the thermostat with a 185F. Refilled 50/50 mix distilled. Temp now will not get to the 210F mark. :) I'm a happy camper...Thanks for all your posts.

    No, Not Cooling Again...

No, Not Cooling Problems Again... I just replaced my water pump, thermostat, and hoses. Flushed the engine by putting pressure hose in water pump housing holes and thermostat galleys. Coolant is 50-50 anti and distilled. Ran great below 210F for about a month. Now around town seem to keep...

    To Beadlock or Not???

Question: I have been contemplating installing Beadlocks on my 95XJ. I am not one of the lucky ones who get to go wheeling a lot lately due to the wife and two small children. My XJ is a daily driver, and I'm lucky (at this time) to get offroad a half dozen times a year. I read some threads...

    Harmonic Balancer...

Still Chirpping..... I tried the water on the belt, and yes the squeeking went away for a minute. The chirpping was louder this morning, but went away in about 3 miles. The harmonic balancer wobbles a little while idling, is that normal. After reading the last post about that the water trick...
