Tera 2 Low kit with a wide chain

Discontinued (for several years now). If you want 4:1, go gind a T-case out of a JK rubicon.

    Guidance - Axle width advice

    I'll replace the D44 (5 x 4.5) I have now with a Sterling 10.5 (also 8 x 170).

    Guidance - Axle width advice

Yes, my D60 is out of a 2005 Super Duty so it has the metric 8 x 170 bolt pattern.

    Guidance - Axle width advice

I considered that. - To run H1 wheels, I'd need new centers and from the looks of it, I wouldn't be TOO far off from just getting a "custom" set of steel wheels made (which I could easily get a 6" inset). - From what I read, it seems the military 37s that come on the H1s are really poor...

    Guidance - Axle width advice

I could use some guidance as to whether or not narrowing an axle for my 2001 XJ if the right thing to do. This weekend I picked up a D60 out of a 05 Super Duty and my gut says narrow it, but I want input from people who know more than me. I've been running 35s on the trussed HP D30 in my XJ for...

    Narrow SD D60?

But won't that shove your pinion off center?

    Narrow SD D60?

Already aware of that, though only one custom shaft needed because I'm only looking at cutting the long (passenger) side. Short (driver) side stays stock.

    Narrow SD D60?

Today at lunch I picked up an 05+ Super Duty D60 that's going under my XJ (replacing the D30). I haven't gotten it under the XJ (haven't even gotten home yet) to check fitment however I am seriously considering cutting the long side down to both narrow the width (I prefer the narrower track to...

    Jeep p0123 - Hesitation

Original TPS was OEM Jeep and it's voltage values matched those of the O'Reilly unit.

    Jeep p0123 - Hesitation

Oddly enough, the vehicle sat all day in the parking lot at work (warm sunny day) and now the problem seems to be gone. I'm still getting the code, but the hesitation is gone. I'm going to pull all the ECU plugs, blow them out and grease them this weekend.

    Jeep p0123 - Hesitation

2001 4.0 manual XJ It (finally) rained here in Phoenix on Wednesday and I was out playing around running through puddles (not deep, just big puddles). I went through one of them and my tires flung a wash up over the hood (35" MTs with cut fenders). Not long after that, I started getting...

    Leaf Spring "Drop Bracket"?

Here's a shot of my leaf spring mounts and shackle.I could always remake the rear drop bracket but seem to remember somewhere reading that it's best to have the spring parallel to the ground.

    Leaf Spring "Drop Bracket"?

2001 XJ, 6.5" of lift on 35s I'm running OME 4" lift springs and BWE Comp Shackles. With my current setup, the shackle is almost vertical (rather than the ideal 45 degree angle) and the spring is pointed "up hill" towards the front. This makes the ride rougher and severely limits my rear drop...

    Running "hot" at idle

Probably 6 months ago and it came out clean at that time. As I said, I think the new pump (which is supposed to flow 20% more) likely caused scale and "junk" to come lose in the block and it got swept into the radiator. Fortunately it wasn't "sludge", just particles because the radiator shop...

    Running "hot" at idle

Plugged radiator. Took the radiator to a radiator shop to have it pressure flushed. Now it’s sitting steady at 185 with the AC on.

    Running "hot" at idle

Assuming I get this cooling issue sorted out, I plan to attend. I went last year and had a blast. I ran the back way with another group in early June and the trail seems a lot more rutted and rocky this year.

    Running "hot" at idle

Agreed, that' why I knew something had to be wrong. My XJ never runs hot, even with the AC on in the summer so what it was doing told me something wasn't right. The pump was just preventative maintenance.

    Running "hot" at idle

I went home at lunch, drained and flushed the system (water in the block was nasty rust colored), and then ran it up to temperature. Starting to look like either my t-stat is stuck closed or my radiator is plugged up. The*hot side tank got to*208, cold side was 100 and the "hot" of the...

    Running "hot" at idle

I have a 16" volvo 2-speed fan and a 10" spal fan. I've never been able to find an actual rated CFM for the Volvo fan, but the general consensus is 3400-3600 cfm on high (it pulls 27 amps on high) and lots of guys used them to cool BBCs in hot rods. The spal fan seems to be rated at ~750 cfm...
