Is there going to be a Roctoberfest at Field & Forest this year?

Project Facelift Stage I, II, & III Stage III, Beadlocks Today was a good day for progress on the Comanche. I was able to complete the rest of the beadlocks, which I HATE installing. Here's a stupid fact that I wish I didn't know, since I had to install, remove and reinstall 3 of the beadlocks...

Well when I got home from work and went out to the garage I found that the tire that I mounted was completely flat, WTF! I inspected it and found the valve was leaking as well as there was a pretty sizable leak at the beadlock bead. I mounted up two more tires and had a leak at the same...

Wohoo the beadlocks were here when I got home from work yesterday. I went to town prepping the wheels for welding. I bought some paint & rust removal discs for a bunch of rust repair a while back so I figured I'd try them on the wheels. They work ok on rust but these things are awesome on...

I gotta say that I'm more than a little excited about these finally arriving, 42" x 14.5" x 17" Goodyear MTR Kevlar non-DOT. And new rims, beadlock kit should be here tomorrow. I've got 10 days to complete everything, the pressure is on. Untitled by David Nichols, on Flickr[/IMG]

Project Facelift Stage I I added a D-ring to the front axle for a suck down connection point. Also modified the axle skid plate to accommodate for the D-ring and clearance for the Solid front diff cover. The new winch mount is about 90% complete now. The old bumper held up well to the rock...

Facelift Mod, stage 1 After doing Nelson's Crawl at Field & Forest I told myself that I'm not doing anymore red trails until I change a bunch of the hang up points on the truck. Well, I'm going back to F&F the weekend of July 13th with the Rockaholics and I know some of them are going to hit...

I forgot to mention that I joined Rockaholics Offroad Club. This has had a few benefits, not only do I now have access to a bunch of wheeling locations that are legal and inviting but I've also met a bunch of awesome people to wheel and hang out with, it was defiantly a good decision.

I just realized that its been two months since my last update. Well it has been a busy two months. I've wheeled Field & Forest 4 times, Belleau Woods 3 times, once at Brookridge and did the rock crawl course and UTV obstacle course at the NPD Jamboree. One of the most fun things I did was the...

Buttoned up a few things and although this project will always be evolving and never done, it is now ready to wheel party1:. Finished the door latches, the passengers side works great, but the drivers side latch works kinda shitty, go figure. I'll just deal with it for now. Did a bunch of green...

Got the truck back from the glass shop with the new windshield installed. The installer said it was very difficult, there's only about 1/2" clearance to the roll bar and the cab is very tweaked. I said that i thought that was strange, the truck hasn't even been off road yet LMAO. Even with all...

I was able to get a few things done today. Got the roll bar padding and grab handles in, I added a small handle to the dash for passengers. I made harnesses and installed the CB, 42" LED light bar, 12v and USB outlets. I used a Littlefuse HWB60-AL Series power distribution module to help rewire...

I was able to get another coat of Raptor brushed on last Monday. It seems to be totally cured so I started putting the interior back together. Things go back together way slower than they come apart. But I was able to get all the behind seat wiring, air compressors, seats, harnesses, tranny...

Thanks man! It's been an absolute ton of work, but worth it. And ya, I cant wait to get it back in the woods. I've got a couple weekends at Field & Forest scheduled next month so it's probably gonna be tough keeping it this pretty for long, but I'll try.

Holy crap, it's been a ridiculously busy weekend, but I was able to get almost everything done. I wasn't able to paint the factory doors or tailgate but I did get everything else painted and re-assembled. I also brushed on one coat of the Raptor bed liner in the cab, really wish that I'd sprayed...

All I can say is that I am so glad that I'm done with the cab. Taping off around all that tubing was miserable. It was especially fun around the tubes that only have about 1/32" clearance, or less. But I can say that the cab is done. It certainly didn't come out anywhere near perfect but I'm...

1/2 day at work yesterday so I was able to paint the green on the cab & bed. After some experimenting I was able to find a mixture (10 to 1) that worked pretty good. But like an idiot I forgot to mix it in when it came time to spray. Untitled by David Nichols, on Flickr[/IMG]...
