Could a faulty spool valve in the steering box on a 97' cause the return line to get excessive pressure and blow off? I have searched and searched on this with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, when i jumped the nss, i did with it unplugged. Should i have jumped them on the back side, and left it plugged in?

I did try it in neutral with no luck. I also unpluged ithe nss and jumped the 2 terminals on the bottom of the plug, still no go

Got a no crank condition. Battery is good, ive went back and forth through the gears several times. I can jump it off the solenoid, and at the starter relay and it fires right up. My reverse lights work too. Think its my nss?

Hard to start, rough idle, cutting out on acceleration.

Finally ran out of parts to buy!!! I put an alternator , fuel pumpup, sea foamed it, and swapped the coil. She is running like a top. Thanks to everyone for all the help

I dont have any codes. Im assuming i pop the cap off, set #1 cyl to tdc, and make sure the pick up coil is lined up. (With a tooth pick) correct?

The o2 sensors toggle back and forth, thats all i know. What is a good way to check them? I havent checked fuel pressure yet, but thats next on my list. I put a new rotor in and cap on. Im not sure about the plastic ring? I dont know what youre refering to

No I didn't do that yesterday when I swapped it, but I did when I put the new one on. I will swap it back out this evening, and try that. Thanks for all of your help. This thing has me stumped!! Lol

Well I swapped the tps with a known good 1. No change. Think I'm gonna set it on fire!!!

Is the 1.1v at idle too much out of range?
