Thanks. I have a taurus fan and when I saw I had room to toss another smaller fan on there I installed a 8" derale 500 cfm fan on the radiator.
So I just bought a spectra CU1193 cheap on Amazon, and measured my fans and radiator and I can fit one size (9") larger fan, so I bought a 9" derale...
So my wife's XJ is now my DD while my 2 jeeps are broken. '87 J20 is getting a 454 big block and the "race jeep" high fived some valves with pistons when the camshaft dowel pin sheered. Which is why I have it all apart.
My wife's XJ is a 97 with the up country package. It has what appears to be...
I am looking at Mopar Replacement 52080104AC radiator
and
Omix-ada 17101.20
These are supposed to be interchangeable, and should be the 1.25" thick HD radiator that came with the towing package.
What would you guys buy? Omix-ada is more than $100 cheaper, but I can't seem to confirm it is...
I'm well aware. I put 6K into a stroker build. I'm all about doing things correctly, but here's a list of possible reasons he can't do it the right way:
-Doesn't care enough, beater vehicle on a ranch
-Lives in a remote area
-Was only doing a basic re-seal and wasn't planning to do machine work...
That's tough. It's where the rear main seal sits. Not sure why you can't install it wet with rtv and make sure it seals up right there. The part of the seal doing the work against the crank will still be fine. And that area isn't structural as far as the main cap support or threads. I think...
You have to either change the main shaft of the tranny or get a 4wd trans.
I did this swap. Ridiculously easy. I kept grinning at how easy it was. The holes for the bracket for the Tcase shift linkage are there. Everything is there. Where the tcase shifter would mount there's just a blank...
When I say I recommend those springs I don't mean the exact ones I got unless you want your spring to be around 19" tall installed. I just mean I highly recommend PAC
I run 25" long PAC springs with a 130# rate.
I highly recommend these springs. I am now in the camp of running only enough spring to support the weight of the vehicle and let the shocks do the rest.
I have learned this from a few sources and personal experience. I started with deavers, then...
What high flow water pump did you install? What t-stat? I fought a mild (was warmer than I wanted, but not overheating) issue and it runs great now. Stock original radiator too.
Does anyone have a part number or description for the "tow package" radiator I have heard about. I heard it's a...
Interesting question. I did the same, but I'm keeping the 2wd axle for a future 2wd build.
There have been times where I have looked around for an XJ or JK 2wd axle for various reasons. But the crowd looking for that is going to be tiny
Got it figured out. My manifold bolts had come loose and one even fell out. #6 spark plug was different than the rest and that's where they were the loosest, #5 and #6.
She runs like a raped ape again
The misfire appeared to go away on the way to the trail. I was able to spin it to and sometimes over 6K while hauling the mail in the dirt.
Then it came back and the misfire was worse on the drive home. This is why I think it is sensor/electronic. If I had an issue with compression it wouldn't...
I reinstalled the original CPS. I only replaced it as preventative maintenance and kept the original as a trail spare. It started and idled better than usual. Maybe the Echlin brand CPS from NAPA was junk
Going out wheeling, if it still misfires I'm still going wheeling.
Exhaust is 3" and exits out the fender. No cats or muffler

I can't imagine I'm losing spring pressure. The springs on the head from Russ I confirmed with the Tech guy at Lunati they would work well with this cam. I haven't had any issues up until now.
I have not...
No it's a custom ground solid cam from Lunati. It's "bigger" than any of the off the shelf comp cams.
I'm roughly 100% sure it is not cam or valvetrain related. It has been running extremely well before this and I'm on my 6th tune revision from flyin' Ryan performance.
Hey y'all, gotz a problem with meeee stroker!
Thing has been running great, tons of power. One day after a trail ride it developed what I believe to be a misfire on the way home.
It happens around 4000 rpm. It was really inconsistent at first, but now it's fairly consistent when it happens...
Right on that's awesome. I live in Kodiak, AK but love MT and some friends and I just want to travel down there to race for fun.
I went back and just re-read that you said "decently" not "recently". I didn't know there was any wiggle room, I just read on the YORR site that it says cages...
