I second everything said here about Yakima racks. Been using a set on my 98 for about 15 years. The attachments to the rain gutter are very strong. Bought an upright arm to carry more than two kayaks....I've been known to have 5 boats on the racks!

Sooo...my 98 has a worn out bearing in the transfer case. Replace or Rebuild? If replace, any recommendations? Thanks!

Thanks. Yep made it up for a while. Checked out Wolf Den and Slab Pile. Wanted to make sure my lift was good for off road. Nice trails...but DUSTY as hell...coulda used some rain....and mud!

So...I've never had my XJ on a trail...except in wide open desert once. I just got it lifted 3 inches and larger tires...so I'd like to find some easy to moderate trails to drive. Don't want to bang the thing up! I need some guidance on recommended trails and maybe some folks to learn from...

Got a broken ankle...aint gonna be bending, crouching and crawling under that bumper!

Now that I've wasted my money on LEDS that won't work in my 98 XJ...I need to ask a question that I'm sure has been asked before. Is there a good direct LED replacement for the stock fog lamps....that won't drive my mechanic crazy trying to make it work? Thanks in advance!

Thanks...just had to kid about "OP". There's a trail run coming up soon...I think I'll have mechanic check out everything. Pretty good street/trail tires are on. Good advice...give it a run...and see what's needed after that.
