I was wheelin' yesterday and when I started to climb a hill my jeep stopped moving and it kinda sounded like something slipped out of gear and was grinding.(sort of like when you miss a gear in a manual) At this point I put it in neutral (the noise stopped) so I put it in gear and tried...
What is the best way to get through the firewall so I can wire my light switch? Are there any holes that are easy to get to or is drilling my best bet?
I am running into problems mounting my daylighters...I don't have enough bumper. Any low cost suggestions on how to remedy this. I have already considered getting a roof rack and two more lights, but this too low cost.
I have decided to go with daylighters on my rig, but now I am confused about which ones to go with. There are so many options. Does anyone know the difference between Halogen bulbs and seald beam bulbs? Which ones are better. What would be the best choice for wattage? The 100, 130, or 150...
I am looking into getting lights for my jeep and I have a tight budjet so i really don't want to spend the cash for daylighters unless I have no other options. does anyone have experience with other brands or any suggestions?

I know this is a dumb question, but any suggestions on how to remove the hose clamps on my upper radiator hose? These things look like they are original equipment and wont budge. Also, do i need to use the same type of clamp, or will the simple screw tight kind work?
I took it to auto zone today, they plugged it up. It had the wierdest problem, it was running lean and rich. What in the world would cause it to do that? Anyway the guy reset the light and it hasn't come back on yet.
I really didn't see anything or hear anything out of the ordinary. The light just came on. The battery went dead last week, but that was because someone opened my glove box and didn't close it all the way. The exaust pipe has been rattling from when i was trying to take it off and the bolts...
I was driving home from work and my check engine light came on. when i got home I noticed this strange smell was comming from my xj and it seemed to feel a little warmer under the hood than usual. Any suggestion on what the problem could be?
thanks,
Ben
Does it hurt anything if you don't get a new speedo gear? I have an automatic. Plus, if I plan on getting 32s instead of the 31s i currently have should i go on and by the speedo gear that for the 32s?
I made my own, they don't rattle or make noise on the road, and it only cost $7 to do. (you can get all the parts from your loca)l hardware store. I would recomend going this way to save money.
Here is an article on how to do so if you are interested. I used this to get things started, then...
I have already added the shims that come with the kit. The vibe isn't horribly bad, its just a minor annoyance. It isn't a constant vibe either. It usually lasts about a second and it makes a rubbing type noise if you can picture that.
