So the stock shaft ended up being to short so I dropped the bomb on an sye and new driveshaft. I figured I might as well be proactive considering I’ll probably need it eventually. Thank you guys for all the help.
Nah it’s still the stock slip yoke. That’s what I was concerned about. Is it possible to have the stock shaft lengthened? I’m assuming that would be less expensive than a custom shaft.
Will the 1330/1310 U Joint and stock ford yoke on not work? It was my understanding you could use a conversion yoke or a adapter U Joint with stock ford flange yoke.
I am wondering what driveshaft should I use for a XJ 8.25-8.8 swap. I only have about 3 inches of lift so will my stock shaft work? I've heard that the stock shaft may be to short, in this case what else could I use, the explorer shaft? I've also heard the D35 XJ shaft is longer, would that...
Well I hung it up for tonight but after testing stuff a little more I think I may not be getting spark- or it's at least intermittent. The truck reeks of gas so I know I'm getting fuel- not to mention I tested the pressure, however it's still a b***h to start. I can crank for 10-12 seconds and...
Hey guys. Earlier today my Jeep started having rough starts. It will crank for about 10 seconds and then "sputter" to life. It idles rough for about 5 seconds and then it's fine. I can hear the fuel pump prime so I'm guessing it's not that- although I have not tested the check valve/ fuel...
As of now I don't think I'll be able to track down any Rubicon parts for a decent price. I very much underestimated just how expensive, especially the axles, would be. However it does make sense considering how few they made. Anyways for my purpose I think building up my D30 would be a better...
I would buy the pair for sure if I could afford it (college budget restrictions). The guy told me if he wasn't able to sell the pair in a week he'd let me know. Also while were talking about Rubicons, how about the T-Case, Np241j I think? i'm not too familiar with them but I know there 4:1 low...
Well it isn't meant to be I guess. The guy wants to sell them as a pair apparently :/. It did get me inspired though, now I really want one of these axles lol.
Hey guys. So I recently located a set of TJ Rubicon Dana 44's on the local craigslist, and i'm wondering what the general consensus is on swapping Rubicon axles into an XJ. I currently have an 8.8 out back, so i'm more focused on the front- but if I can get the rear for a decent price I may go...
Hi everyone. I'm in the process of revamping my suspension and replacing all of my old Rough Country stuff with better/ more durable components. As far as sway bar links go- I have 3 choices in mind. Obviously the JKS links, I've heard these are the best from just about everyone. I also found...
Before I swapped to OME leafs I used re 3.5s. They were fairly clapped out (I got them used for free) and only netted about 2 inches of lift. I ran then with HD engineering standard shackle relocation brackets and Comanche shackles that I later swapped to rustys .75in lift shackles. In total I...
