Unless shark has bought some more parts the parts that you have do not include the ebrake setup as i was not planning on using the stock ebrake none of that stuff should be in there. and it is missing the caliper bolts. other than those things there should be everything to make it work.

It Does Drive the Wheels in Fulltime, but not in part time.

Well when i swapped my trannsmissions i put the 242 back into the 89 cause i wanted to have the option for the full time, so now i only have 2wd or full time, my part time settings do not work. it engages into both high and low but only drives the rear wheels, it drive the front wheels in full...

the problem turned out to be that the PO of this jeep had taken out the fuse for the TCU so it was trying to start out in 4th gear.....the guy told me that it was "not going but not slipping" because my TQ wasent seated......i dident think he was correct but just wanted to make sure. thanks

PO took the inline fuse out from the TCU, it was trying to start out in 4th gear.... thanks for the help

What would happen if the torque converter wasent installed all the way? someone (friends dad) told me that my whole problems were from my TQ not being on all the way. It all bolted up perfectly and everything went together great? would i have been able to fully bolt the TQ to the plate and the...

kick down seems good, cleaned out the cooler as best we could do but it was pretty clean, all electrical plugs hooked up and seem to be working.

ok over the past 2 days i've been swapping Aw4's between my 2 jeeps, the donor AW4 is known good and i drove it into the spot that it sits right now, the other aw4 was still drivable but slipping very bad, so we swapped out the tranns now the transmission is just fine and driveable in reverse...

well its just slippin really bad......

Ok well im getting ready to swap aw4's between my recently wrecked 87 into my newly aquired 89 with a bad tranny, so it should be realitivly straight forward but just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to make my life a little bit easier? thanks
