I was at Fall Fling last year in LUVMYJP. Did we not wheel together??? Anyway, I can promise you I will be there in A jeep:):):)

What do I get if I still have it by then? (Besides some money in MY pocket rather than the guy I just sold it to (for once)):)

My wife keeps telling me we need to "rough it more" and teach the kids how to camp, but it is just so darn hard to do with all the amenities of home right there at the cabin. I will eventually teach the kids how to set up a tent (right in front of the cabin:))

I might try and make this one. I cannot promise I won't disappear and head over to my cabin before the event ends. It is over by Blacks Fork, about 15 miles East of the Mirror Lake highway past the boy scout camp.

Actually, after reading his write up I think I will do it myself. The pictures are really excellent. Where is the best place to buy new ring gear bolts? Also, would it make sense to change out the inner axle seals at the same time?

My Dana 30 and 44 Aussie lockers are going to show up anyday. I know that I could install them, but my wife and 3 small kids hate the 8+ hours of neglect it will take to do so. A local shop here (SLC) quoted me $280 + lube/shop supplies for both axles. Good price? I wonder if I Can trust...

There is only one, I repeat, ONE correct line up escalator. I can attest to that.

Tightened up the old serp. belt and guess what? No more screaching. Hope it was the only problem. I was just about to buy a new A/C compressor. Thanks Stewie, saved me a buck fitty.

Thanks for the info Stewie. I just had the belt changed when they recharged my A/C, so maybe they didn't get it tight enough. Maybe I will take it back and have them tighten it up a bit.

I just happen to have a '96 vin 200697. Guess I got a good one???:)

ARGHH! Just did a little more searching and found out it is not the alternator at all. IT IS THE A/C COMPRESSOR SCREAMING. What can I do? Rebuild? Replace?

Good point, didn't think of that. Just hope I never get in a front end collision:)
